RECYCLING INFO

Curbside Recycling
The City of Monrovia's residential waste hauler, Athens Services, collects recyclable materials at the curbside that are placed in 90-gallon containers used for commingled recycling. The containers are provided by Athens at no additional cost to residents with curbside service. Materials to be placed in the recycling container include:  All paper / Cardboard / Glass / Plastic Containers #1-7 / Aluminum / Tin / Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals / Telephone Directories.

What's left for the Refuse Container?
Non-recyclable garbage, food wastes, pet wastes, or anything with food residue left on it.
Consider this...if you recycle you not only help your community, but you can also save money by downsizing from a 90 gallon flip-top container to the less expensive 60 gallon container. After all, if you recycle properly, there is not much left to go into the garbage container! Going to the smaller 60 gallon container can save you $28 a year!
