Besides workshops every other month to assist with applying for EDD benefits, finding jobs online, and helping write the perfect resume, we provide a list of online resources - Job Hunting Resources: Thriving in today's Job Market.
Career Transitions and Adult Education & Career Center, part of the 24/7 Library, can be accessed anytime and take you through the job-finding process step-by-step.

Computer Classes

Beginners take heart. Don't know the first thing about computers and feeling the need to email friends and family, see what all the fun's about on the Internet, and maybe write a letter? We offer a six-week course just for ou. Classes are on Thursday mornings from 10:15 a.m. to noon for only $10.00. Study Rooms

Three study rooms provide space for individuals and small group study on a first-come first-served basis. Users must have a valid Monrovia Library card (only one needed per group) and sign in at the Reference Desk. View the complete Study Room Policy. |

We answer your reference questions in person and by telephone during open hours. Online chat with Instant Librarian is now available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

| What's Available |
Besides books, magazines and newspapers, we have expanding audiobook, music CD and DVD collections. Audiobooks and CDs checkout like books. DVDs may be rented for $2.00 each, limit 3, for 3 days. See Loans and Fees for more details.
For those who have trouble with small print, our Large Print alcove contains fiction and non-fiction, incuding the latest best-sellers.

| 24/7 Library |
Our 24/7 Library Online Resources cover the gamut from learning languages and fixing your car, to finding homework help and magazine articles. You can access online resources any time of day or night. You need a valid Monrovia Library Card to sign in.

Outreach
 |
Homebound residents of Monrovia may request book delivery and pick-up services. Volunteers supply books from the library for individuals who are temporarily or permanently disabled. to request Outreach service or get more information please call (626) 256-8274 and ask for the Outreach Coordinator. |
| Book Club |
Monrovia Library offers an online reading discussion program open to adults and teenagers who meet virtually via the Book Club Blog. Different themes are posted every month and comments are enabled for feedback and discussion on your author or book. | Interlibrary Loan |
If Monrovia Library does not own a book you need, an Interlibrary Loan request may be made at the Reference Desk. A $5.00 non-refundable search fee is due at the time of the request. Interlibrary Loans can take from one week to several weeks depending on the book.

If you need a book quickly, the Librarian will do a quick no-fee seach in nearby library catalogs so you can pick up an available copy.

| Test Proctoring |
Adult Services provides proctoring for tests by appointment only. The fee for each exam is $20.00. For more information, call 626-256-8274 and ask for the Adult Reference Desk.

| Heritage Room |
We keep Monrovia's history and heritage safe for future generations by collecting, preserving and protecting rare volumes and all things pertaining to Monrovia. Our most popular items are old City directories and Monrovia High School Yearbooks. Proper I.D. is required to look at Heritage Room items.
